The training workshop was held on 13-17 June 2016, hosted by the Phuket Marine Biological Center, Phuket 83000, Thailand

The main contents of the training workshop included:

Lecture session: Biodiversity of venomous jellyfish in the eastern Indian Ocean

Hands-on session:

Demonstration & identification: Carukiidae: Morbakka; Chirodropidae: Chironex; Carybdeidae: Carybdea; Carukiiidae: Carukia and other Irukandjis; Chiropsalmidae: Chiropsella; Chiropsalmidae: Chiropsoides; Tripedaliidae: Tripedalia and Copula.

29 young scientists from Indonesia, China, Malaysia, Thailand and Vetnam participated in the training workshop.

Mr. Truong Si Hai Trinh, PhD student of the Institute of Oceanography, Vietnam at the training workshop.
